Become a Circus Performer and Workshop Facilitator

With Support from the East Gippsland Shire Council, Wacky Wombat Entertainment are very excited to be looking for a young person aged 16-25 to become part of our troupe through a pilot mentoring program.

No experience is necessary – all training will be given throughout the program

What We Are Looking For

Some one who

has a passion to entertain
is willing to push their comfort zone
up for being silly and having fun
is a responsible leader
enjoys helping others grow
enjoys working with children
has a willingness and eagerness to learn
enjoys being active and physical

What You will Learn

The program will run approximately 5 months, including one-on-one training, a shadowing period and finishing with a performance at a local event.

You will learn a range of core circus skills and performance techniques, including juggling, diablo, unicycling, stilts and more.

On top of teaching you the core skills, we will build and rehearse a performance, and give you the skills and confidence to run workshops and classes

During the shadow period you will watch how others perform at events, and have the opportunity to trial some of the material we work on in a safe, low pressure, live environment. Shadow time will also include shadowing during classes and workshops.

All equipment will be provided

Training times will be flexible and discussed with the successful applicant

The Result

Upon successful completion of the pilot mentoring program, the successful applicant may be offered employment and future work through Wacky Wombat Entertainment
